Corporate Social Responsibility agenda
SHAH ALAM –As part of its Bridging Community Program under the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda, PROTON has joined hands with othercorporate companies to fulfill the wish of cancer patient children of the Oncology Pediatric Ward 6, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), to have a party.PROTON staff under the coordination of Group Corporate Communications volunteered to assist in the project.
CorporateCommunicationsCommunicationsThe event was held on 5 April, 2008 at the RuangLegarSitiKhadijah, MenaraTimurof UMMC and was attended by 200 children consisting of past and current patients of the ward. The children also performed a DikirBaratperformance and took part in a drawing competition.
To the children’s surprise, AznilHajiNawawi, who is a “Hero”to many children made a surprise appearance at the event. The children’s excitement was apparent when they rushed towards him to hug, shake hands and ask for autographs. Aznilhad certainly made the party more livelier and meaningful to the children.
